Animated gif no longer playing

Due to many custom changes I never updated this theme.

Try deactivating all plugins to explore whether any could be responsible. If none are, keep all plugins deactivated and switch to the Twenty Sixteen theme to see if it’s an issue with your theme.

I deactivated all plugins but it still didnt play.
When I switched to twenty sixteen with all plugins deactivated and activated it worked.
Nothing about the theme changed. What could be the problem you think?

It looks like there’s an issue in the thumbnailing method your theme uses. If you look at the image itself, you’ll see a ‘302×251’ bit on the image name: https://www.hitfm.be/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/32Loic-Nottet-gif-302×251.gif – Which indicates it’s a copy of the original image.

So how do I get WordPress to use the original gif file in stead of a copy?

This is a question for your theme authors/ vendors as we don’t support commercial themes.
