• Hello!

I’m having issues with my Menu and anchor points. I’m doing a one page website with different sections.

So in my menu i have the elements linking to the different website sections, which I create giving specific ID CSS’s.

    I have two problems:
    – the links are not working, the page doesn’t slide down to the specific section (only the first ones work)
    – and the first menu item is kept highlighted despite the page section I’m in. It should be updating in the menu the highlight to the specific section that the user is at.

Also, how to make the page smoothly slide to the specific anchor point?

    Theme: twenty-twenty-one

    Can someone help me please?

    Hello,

I just checked your page and there are no target ids in your page. There’s no sobre-agencia, servi?os, como-fazer or contactos targets in your page, that’s why your links don’t scroll the page (there are no anchor points to scroll to).

There’s also very little content on the page (like 3 lines of text at the top), so I’m not sure if there’s some other URL I should check(?)

The highlighted link you see (1st menu item) is highlighted by your theme or Elementor (not “Page scroll to id”).

You should first create targets for your links (and probably add some content too) and then highlight your links as described here.

Create your targets and let me know so I can check it again for highlighting etc.

    Hello Malihu,

Sorry I had the website in Maintenance Mod. Just put it back live, so you can check again please.

I did not created dedicated annchors indeed, I used existing sections of the website and gave them ID CSS’s, thats correct too, right?

    Yes it’s correct.

It seems that the plugin is not activated in your page. Did you installed/activate it?

Also, your links seem to have the www part in their URL but your web server is not using such sub-domain. You need to remove it from your links. For example, change your “COMO O FAZEMOS” link URL from:

    https://www.inov-digital.pt/#como-fazer

    to:

    https://inov-digital.pt/#como-fazer

    and it should work.

Malihu, you rock! Thanks a lot!

Which plugin is not activated on my page? I’m using the base plugin the twenty-twenty-one I guess, but I’m using templates on top of that which I edit using Elementor. Please help me understand you on that.

    Now it poped-up some question:

1 – the fact the web server is not using that sub-domain with the www. is problematic and I must fix it? In which ways it can affect my website?

2 – Now in the menu all the items are highlighted. I would like to have them in white and just have coloured the activated section, i.e., the section in which the user is looking at.

3 – How can I activate smooth scrolling? It is going tooooo fast.

    Many thanks
