Anchors disappear after save

    Hello,

    I am having problems putting anchors into a page – they disappear after I go back and save later in the visual editor.

    I have tried putting anchors into a page, and after I make more changes in the Visual Editor – the code for the anchors disappears.

    I have tried:

    Offices

    and then making the link to this area #unique-identifier

    I also tried:

    Putting the ID tag after the text – not around (making the id after the item) – which I read on another post could help – but this does not help. The code still disappears after I go back and save later in the visual editor.

    I do not want to add a plugin to our install – so I wanted to know if anyone knows a way to make this work.

  • Can you post the code you are using and add it in the editor using backticks or the code button please? Or maybe link to your page.

    I figured it out I was using ID intead of name:

    works when I do not put any text inside the tags.
