Anchor text not updating

    Hi,

    I am trying to change from another plugin (Ultimate Blocks) to use your table of contents. They have some nice features that might be worth looking at but for some reason it stops the ‘return to top’ button from working and they haven’t been quick to fix it.

    Your Plugin seems much simpler (which is great!) however when replacing the other plugin it does not seem to be updating the anchor text associated with each heading? Am I doing something wrong?

    The table is created correctly but the links do not work. I have disabled the Ultimate Blocks plugin but still seem to have the same issue. Is there anything I can do?

    Some plugins add their custom ids to your content. Try SimpleTOC on a new post with sample headings. If it does work then you have to “clean” the old headings from the remains of the old plug-in. SimpleTOC on the other side does not permanently alter your content in any why.

    Hi,

    Yes, it does seem to work on new posts.

    In order to clean the headings (Generatepress / Genertaeblocks) do I have to go to each heading and clear the anchor text before adding your TOC block?

    You should ask the other plugins author on how to proceed. Or clear the attributes on the headings manually.
