Anchor link IDs were added to the page and used in the main menu. These links work, and the IDs can be seen in the page view. But, the text of the IDs need to be changed. When I open the page to edit in Elementor, there is no visible anchor link widget, and the anchor links are not shown in the navigator. How do I find the original anchor link widgets in the page to edit them?

I can edit the menu link text, but I assume I would also have to update the ID in the page to match the new link text.

  • Hi,

Could you please send me your site’s URL?

Hi, Thanks for responding so quickly. Is there a way I can private message the URL to you? This is a client’s site and I don’t want to have their website link posted here forever.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately, there’s no such option.

Is it possible for you to provide me with a part of the system info which includes your plugins?

Sure. I took a screenshot but doesn’t look like I’m allowed to upload an image here. Did you want me to type all the plugins and their versions? The site apparently has Elementor Pro installed. Is there another support option for Pro users?

Here’s a link to the screengrab of the plugins page:

    Hi, thank you.

To troubleshoot the issue try this guideline:

Make sure you are using the most updated versions of Elementor, WordPress & your theme. Sometimes it isn’t apparent that there is an update available. Go to Dashboard > Updates and click the Check Again button to be sure. (Make sure to back up your site).

Clear all cache: your browser’s cache, other plugins’ cache, server cache (if possible).

If the issue persists, deactivate all plugins apart from Elementor. If this helps, reactivate them one by one to find the culprit.

If it didn’t help, switch your theme (temporarily) to a default WordPress theme such as Twenty Sixteen and see if it makes any difference.

From your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Elementor > Settings > Experiments. Change all of the experiments to Inactive. Click Save Changes.

    I hope this helps:)
