Anchor in caption forces line breaks

    Including a href in a caption, whether using custom Featured Image Caption or default caption in Media Library, causes the line to break before and after the enclosed text. The line with the link is active across the full width of the featured image. This is with HTML code rendering allowed. With rendering disabled, the anchor details are displayed in the caption. View Source reveals no breaks or other hints in the figcaption.

    Version 1.24 on WP 6.1.1 running Twenty Twenty-Three theme. Tested with Edge on Windows and Safari on iOS.

    Seems to be an incompatibility with the way wordpress renders the images within a block. We’ll look into it, Thanks for the report
