• Can functionality be added to display the HTML Anchors value inside the Gutenberg editor? Possibly as a data attribute on elements that have the anchor value set, or even the id attribute like how it does for the rendered frontend? Currently that value only gets rendered as the id of the element on the frontend, but not bound to the element anywhere on the editor page in the content.

    The benefit of this would be to allow visual cues for editors to know on which elements anchors are set.

  • In the default option in a paragraph block, not really. You would probably need to create a custom block for that, or extend the existing core block with code.

    The only option I can see is to change to HTML mode and add attributes manually.
