To clarify, did you select that variation from “Single Variation”?

If your Analytics is showing other variations, try clearing analytics cache under WooCommerce > Status > Tools to see if that helps.

If the issue still persists, the next step you’ll want to take is to check if the issue is caused by a theme/plugin conflict. You can find a detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

I understand that you’re filtering to match all variations where the attribute name is “Scegli il formato:” and the attribute value is “Libro imperfetto”.

Have you tried to filter by product and include “Libro imperfetto” in the search products field?

I’ve performed some cross-testing on one of my test sites which has the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce and our free Storefront theme as the only enabled software.

When doing so I’ve not been able to replicate the behavior which you describe.

For reference, this is a screenshot of variations sold when the filter is set to display “All variations”. And here is an image when the advanced filter is enabled.

The kind of problem you’re having looks isolated to your specific setup. This is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin. The best way to determine this is to:

• Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
• Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
• Go to the Analytics > Variations and check again

If you’re not seeing the same behavior after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated.

Reactivate the theme first and check again. Then, go on and reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.

Hi Mirco,
then the problem right now is present on two different sites with 2 different templates. However, I tried to make a copy of either one and did the following:
– disabled all plugins except woocommerce
– installed and activated storefront
– historical data reset

but unfortunately the problem remains ??

Your WooCommerce version is outdated, so you may want to update it to its latest version (6.0.0). Do this in a staging environment before running the update on the live site.

Also, make sure to follow our previous advice and select the specific variation from the “Single Variation” tab.

What happens when you go to Analytics > Variations, select Single Variation” (not advanced filters), and enter the variation you want to check the sales report for? Can you take a screenshot of the results and share it here?

In that case I can only select 1 variation (= 1 product), but I must be able to see all the products with that variation

It seems that the issue with the variations filters wrongly populating the results table has already been reported on Github and has been labeled as a bug. For reference here’s the Github thread:

If it does indeed sound familiar, please go ahead and add your own comment confirming that it also happens when you filter by attribute.

You can subscribe to the thread for updates. This will give the developers a good idea of the size and impact of the issue and hopefully, this bug will be fixed within the next releases of WooCommerce.
