    hi there,
    Site Kit Analytics still gathering data msg. in incognito window

    • In Different Browser not logged in. Analytics shows realtime 1 user
    • Also, Analytics for this property has users from this week.
    • I set Site Kit up last week on 7/17/21
    • site health does not seem to be a plugin but it is included in WP 5.8. I am including the Site Kit info below
    • I also added the tag in customize>Theme Options>header/footer scripts>Header Scripts on 7/22/21

    Also, Analytics for this property has users from this week.

    Can you confirm that you’re referring to the UA property UA-21651435-2?

    The Site Kit-specific health information is great, but it would also be helpful to have your site’s full Site Health information so we can rule out any possible conflicts with your site’s theme or plugins. Can you please share your Site Health information privately via this form?

    Finally, I can confirm that Site Kit has properly placed the Analytics tag on your site, so you can remove the duplicate from your header/footer scripts.

    Thanks for providing the additional information. From checking your details it looks like you have your Analytics tracking snippet inserted twice, once manually and once via Site Kit. Can you firstly try to remove your manually place snippet (via your themes customizer) before checking your Site Kit Analytics dashboard from a browser incognito window?

    If the same issue persists please share whether you have significant visits recorded when checking the same connected Universal type property (UA-2165??????) at analytics.google.com, and not specifically your live reporting tool.

    Hi Bethany,
    Yes, I am. I emailed back, that I had removed the manually placed snipped in Customizer, and the Site Kit then went back to ‘still gathering data’ but this time on both analytics and on Search Console.

    Thanks for the update, @elurie! Now that that extra snippet is removed, can you try checking your Site Kit Analytics dashboard from a browser incognito window and see if data is displaying?

    Can you confirm if you are seeing data for this property at analytics.google.com?

    I just removed it on July 30th., today, Analytics is showing 1 active user, (that’s me), but have to wait till tomorrow to see if there are visitors.
    Previous weeks, yes, data is there.
    I have not yet set up Analytics 4 yet.
