    Hi,

A client has noticed that the net sales totals on the product report doesn’t show the total for that product but for the whole order that the product is part of.

    e.g.

44 items totalling £1,509.75 on 14 orders. The product only costs about £2 and is normally an add-on with other products.

Can you check we’re not going mad and it is incorrectly calculated?

    Thanks.

  • Hi there,

Do you mind sharing which report you’re referring to, eg the url of the report.

    Hi,

    The report URL would be

    /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-admin&path=%2Fanalytics%2Fproducts

Obviously, I can’t share the full link but this is the admin page.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the clarification above.

I tested an order with Product A, B and the report correctly reported the sales for A, B individually.

You mentioned “The product only costs about £2 and is normally an add-on with other products.”
Are you saying it is an Add-On?
An Add-On is not a product and will not be measured in the report.

    Hi,

I did post a reply so no idea what happened to it.

When I say “Add on” I mean that people normally add this product as an extra to their order rather than just purchase this product.
As far as Woocommerce and the reports should be concerned, it’s a normal product added to the basket in the normal way.

This doesn’t help, unfortunately. The report is still incorrect and useless.
You can’t really tell me that a report showing 12 orders, approx £1,500, 38 items sold (17 where this product), where the product cost is £2, is a correct report.

The total is wrong. How can you get a report of the amount sold for a single product?. This total obviously includes all the other products on those orders too.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I haven’t heard back on this yet and our client is still seeing incorrect totals on the report.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks.
