Hi – I am receiving this error message when I check the installation of Google Optimize: Analytics pageview not detected
This page isn’t sending pageview hits to Google Analytics property (UA-201408670-1) configured for this experiment. You won’t be able to measure usage of your site or monitor performance of Optimize experiments. Make sure that your Analytics tracking code (either analytics.js or gtag.js ) is set up correctly.

I have a new website, meatfreed.com, using WordPress that I recently created a Google Analytics account and Google Optimize account. I just installed the Google Site Kit plugin and I see that both of these accounts are connected. There is no data available yet from Google Analytics.
How do I fix the error so that I can start the Google Optimize experiment? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for reaching out, hopefully we can assist. Are you performing an experiment test within Optimize using the Chrome extension? If so you’ll need to be logged out of your site if your Analytics configurations within Site Kit are set to the default option to not track logged in users.

Google Site Kit plugin and I see that both of these accounts are connected. There is no data available yet from Google Analytics.

If you want to share your Site Health information here or privately via this form I can check your configurations. One way to ensure traffic is being recorded is to use the Analytics real time report. Just be sure to visit your site while not logged in to ensure your Analytics is firing as expected.

Note that I also checked your site using https://tagassistant.google.com/ and it seems to be working as expected.

Let me know once you performed the Optimize check once more while not logged into your site.

Hi James – thanks for the prompt response. Logging off works, Optimize shows no issues now, thanks!

Excellent, great to hear it! We actually have a GitHub issue open which we’re working on. Once shipped this will make users more aware of this particular configuration when using Optimize. You’ll find it below:
    https://github.com/google/site-kit-wp/issues/3000

If you have any further Site Kit queries or questions be sure to reach out! And if you have a moment free please considering sharing your plugin feedback so far.
