    Good morning,

An issue has started appearing on my website, where Site Kit is telling me that both Analytics and Tag Manager are connected, but page views aren’t showing up in GA.

I can get audience statistics, and realtime visitors, but when it comes to actual page views, there’s nothing.

Any idea what might be happening here?

Hello @russclem thanks for reaching out. Do your Analytics account statistics currently match the stats you are seeing in your Site Kit Analytics dashboard?

I would be happy to check that your Site Kit is set up correctly and snippets placed if you could provide your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.

You can also try the Analytics troubleshooter which may help indentify why page views aren’t being tracked.

@russclem no problem at all. Could you just also confirm if your Analytics account statistics currently match the stats you are seeing in your Site Kit Analytics dashboard?

Looking at your site I can see that you have a Tag Manager container placed but no Analytics snippet. Is this configured within your Tag Manger?

If you go to Site Kit > Settings > Connected Services and check your Analytics do you have the “Universal Analytics Code Snippet” inserted?

    Yes they pretty much match.

In Site Kit > Settings > Connected Services, it says:

    Universal Analytics Code Snippet

The code is controlled by the Tag Manager module.

@russclem thanks for the information. I can see that you are using the GDPR Cookie Consent plugin on your site. These types of plugins can contain settings which may lead stats not being recorded correctly.

Would you be able to temporarily deactivate this plugin and let me know once done and I can run some further checks to see if that has been blocking anything.

We also have a guide here which may help with this so please feel free to read through this and follow any necessary steps.

Okay, that plugin’s now been deactivated

@russclem thanks for letting us know. I can’t see anything standing out from my side but I would say to give it a few days with the plugin disabled to see if this makes any difference to your stats.

As mentioned you can also follow the steps in the guide above and if you are still see inconsistencies with your stats I would then say that this is something that the Analytics Support Centre should be able to help you with.
