The plugin has, once Google Analytics is switched on in the settings, a significant impact on the page speed ranking of the page as Google Analytics lead to block the page load. My page is highly optimized with 99/100 on Pagespeed Insight. I can clearly track it down to switch Analytics on in the plugin leads to slow down of the page.
The same happens on any other way to incorporate Analytics I tried so far. Was hoping that this plugin from google is able to overcome this Google issue.
Its a bit strange that Google on one hand encourages speed and on the other hand provides a tool like Analitys which slows down the speed.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thanks for opening a support topic, and sharing details of the checks you’ve been performing. When you implement Google Analytics on your site – whether via Site Kit or other means – there does need to be a browser request made to the service.

For best practices Site Kit places the Analytics snippet as advised by the Analytics team. Users can insert your own snippet if preferred, as opposed to allowing Site Kit to insert their snippet. They can remain using the Analytics dashboards, with the plugin recognizing a manually inserted snippet.

On the Site Kit side of things we’re always looking to improve performance where possible and within scope, with the plugin primarily an admin panel operated plugin. You’ll find ongoing conversations and developments with performance in mind when visiting the plugins GitHub repository.

Unfortunately I don’t have much insights when it comes to the Analytics service specifically and it’s impact on performance. Any feedback or findings from your checks could be put to the product experts at the Analytics Help Center however.
