• Hi all,

I am having a problem with a couple of clients with which I am using your plugin.

Enhanced Ecommerce data about transactions and revenue is 20% of the actual numbers I see on the WooCommerce report in WordPress.

I can’t figure out why certain transactions are recorded and certain not.

    I follow your steps:

    – setup the Custom HTML tag in GTM
    – in WooCommerce -> Settings -> Integration -> I inserted the Google Analytics ID and ticked ONLY the boxes “Add Enhanced Ecommerce Tracking Code” and “Add Code to Track the Login Step of Guest Users (Optional)”; I left the “Impression Threshold” to 6 (what is this?).

    Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

    Kind regards,
    Federico

Please note that you will notice 2 GTM containers (one is for test purpose), the one connected to your plugin is GTM-T5VZ8J, the UA property-code is UA-26947058-1

    Thanks,

    Hi Federico,

Thank you for sharing with us the information. To check your missing transaction issue, would it be possible for you to share with us the development store url/ test store url, where we can complete the transaction?

Additionally, you may have received an email regarding the same & you can reply to it with the test store credentials.

    Thank you,

    Hello,

I troubleshoot the issue myself comparing the data carefully, and I discovered that the problem resides in the payments.

It seems that the transactions concluded with PayPal as payment method are not registered in Analytics, instead the ones ended with Sagepayform are tracked.

Do you have any idea of why it happens?

    Thanks,
    Federico

    Hi Federico,

    Thank you for update.

Since you are using paypal as your payment method can you tell us if you have configured auto return in paypal settings?

You may be facing the issue if you have not configured auto return.

P.S. – Here’s the Paypal doc on Auto Return & WooCommerce Doc on Auto Return for more information.

    Hi There.

I′m having the same problem. I do have a brazilian payment metod in which is posible to set the auto retorn. But i see that a lot of customers don′t return to the site because they leave the “trasaction funnel” when the payment is finished..
Because of this I set up the event “checkout_step_3” as goal in the GA, but i′m not shure if it is the best method to count the number of times users leave the site to go to the payment website.

    Many thanks for your help

    Hi MarcosAlonso,

Thank you reaching out to us.

As per your reply I understood that your payment gateway allows you to configure auto return. Since that’s possible we recommend you to configure auto return so that our plugin can send that transaction data to GA.

Additionally, the solution that you have implemented ‘checkout_step_3’ as a Goal to address your issue (users dropping off from payment site) looks fine.

Hope this helps. Please let us know if you need more information or help

    Cheers,
