Analytics displays on Google, and only some parts on WordPress
-
Site kit Dashboard displays Analytics, but when I click into the actual “Analytics” subtab under the main “Site Kit” tab, nothing shows.
Additionally, Google Ads keeps giving me an error message: “No Google Analytics was found on your website. Please follow the snippet instructions and try again.”

Thanks for reaching out. From the 3 primary tabs in the top menu on your site I can see valid Google Analytics code placed. Using https://tagassistant.google.com it looks like Google Analytics is firing as expected, so let’s perform some checks to see what’s occurring, in particular with your Analytics tab not appearing as normal.
Firstly can you share the following information:
- Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
- Does the Google Analytics tab appear when using a Chrome browser incognito window?
- Do you see any browser console errors when clicking on the primary Analytics tab?
Let me know once you check the above. I’ll also see what I can dig out in relation to Google ads in the meantime.

Loading mixed (insecure) display content “https://stlscavenger.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/cropped-favi-192×192.png” on a secure pageHi @claireford23,
Apologies for the late response, and many thanks for sharing the additional insights. From checking the information you kindly provided nothing unusual stands out.
When you mention the Analytics tab is working on Chrome using an incognito browser this indicators a browser related issue. Also the “Analytics gathering data” message is normal if you’ve just setup Analytics on the site however if it’s been a couple of days this should no longer occur. Please check this same tab again from a Chrome browser incognito window and let me know if you do see data. If you do see data then please check your regular (preferred) browser and inform me if everything is working as normal. If not share what browser you are using and try to clear your browsers cache before checking again.
I also notice I never addressed your second query from your original support topic post.
Additionally, Google Ads keeps giving me an error message: “No Google Analytics was found on your website. Please follow the snippet instructions and try again.”
This is unusual, the Google Analytics snippet is evident on your site and is firing. Have you posted the same question with the product experts at the Google Ads help center?
I’m glad everything looks correct!
I actually chatted with Google Support when I first noticed the “No Google Analytics was found…” message and they said it was something on WordPress’s end. Maybe I will try there again!
Thanks for verifying everything with me.
No problem at all. I’m happy to keep this support topic open while you check. If your Google Analytics dashboard isn’t working as expected please share what browser you’re using and the full error message encountered.
@claireford23 Just checking in here – are you still having trouble? Thanks!
Sure am! I still can’t get Analytics to show on my Site Kit, but have no problems when going to Google Analytics.
It’s really not that big of a deal–it would just be nice if I could quickly view Analytics from within WordPress!
Thanks for the update. When you mention you don’t see Analytics on your admin dashboard can you share the following:
- What browser are you using? You’ve mentioned previously this doesn’t occur in Chrome incognito. It would be useful to determine the cause and whether this is browser specific.
- Do you see any error messages or notices on the Analytics screen when accessing from Site Kit?

Very true, it’s not ideal to have an Analytics tab and not be able to use it from your existing browser! Once we check the above we can do some testing on our side.
So I contacted my web developer (after some issues with Google Ads), and it turns out he hadn’t given me the full permissions to view analytics!
I think I am all good! I will come back here if I have any problems.
Thanks for the update, good to know. If you happen have any further queries be sure to get in touch, and if you have a moment free be sure to share your plugin feedback.
