    Hi

If I don’t check the 3 boxes regarding GA, GA doen’t work at all… But if a have google ads for example, then I can’t check the box “share with other google services”… So how should I configure ComplianZ then ? What do I miss here ?

    Regards.

    Hi @sybilrondeau,

If you can post your URL, I have a better understanding of your configuration, but I would guess not checking the 3 checkboxes resolved in blocking analytics until consent for the category “Statistics”. Which is correct behaviour.

If you’re in the EU you can configure Analytics for the GDPR: https://complianz.io/how-to-configure-google-analytics-for-gdpr/

This is not directly related to Adsense, but will be related to remarketing outside of your website.

Let me know if I can help you further,

    regards Aert

    Hi,

    Thank you for your response.
In France they say you need consent for Google analytics, whatever parameters you set in your GA account.
If I check only the first checkbox for example, it seems that GA doesn’t work anymore, even when all cookies are accepted by the user.
So what do I need to do with your plugin to obtain consent for GA ?

    Regards
    Sybil.

    Hi @sybilrondeau,

Could it be you have the WP Rocket Add-on for Analytics caching enabled? Everything seems to be configured correctly, Analytics just doesn’t trigger when enabled Statistics on the banner, the above could explain why.

    Hi @sybilrondeau,

There’s an invalid URL in Analytics that starts with lazyload scripts by WP Rocket; data-rocketlazyloadscript='data:text/javascript;base64,KGZ1bmN0aW...=' type="text/plain" class="cmplz-script cmplz-stats">

Can you check if there any other settings that might cause this? The error is in the browser console.

    regards Aert

I deleted all google analytics scripts from the report list of scripts in Rocket. Is it working properly now ?

If I ckeck the 3 boxes, does it mean that consent is not asked anymore for GA ?

    Thank you.

    Hello @sybilrondeau
I have tested the website using Google Tag Assistant, and it correctly fires the Analytics script & Pageview event.

And yes, if the three boxes are checked (for Analytics), IP Addresses will be anonymized making the implementation GDPR-proof.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

Ok thank you for your help !
Just to warn you than apparently in France, anonymized IPs won’t be enough to make the implementation GPDR-proof. We still need the consent, whatever set up you make in your google account.

    Regards.

    Hi @sybilrondeau,

Just to reassure you, we are constantly looking at new privacy laws worldwide in order to ensure that this plugin stays up to date.
For France, we are following the rules set out in the 2021 draft e-privacy Regulation, and the march 2021 guidelines and explanations issued by the CNIL.
    Please read: https://complianz.io/cnil-updated-privacy-guidelines/

Anonymizing IP addresses is indeed not enough: All three boxes need to be checked in order to place statistics-anonymous cookies without the need to ask for consent.
