    Hi there,

When I try to run the preload I get the following popup:

    An unexpected response was received.

I am using the Divi Theme.

Any idea why this is happening?

    Thank you,

    Ryan

  • @thebusinesscat The unexpected response popup appears for the first time, could you please try to again click the Preload button and check if it preloads the url?

    Hi Harshad,

    Thank you for the response.

I should have mentioned that I did read other support threads that mentioned this, but I still kept getting the error message.

I just logged in now to try again, and saw the following next to the “Run Now” button:

Last preload finished at 13:41, 10/10/2022

So I’m not sure if that means it is working, but when I tried to run it again, I still got the same error message.

@thebusinesscat Preload is a long running, time consuming task. So, WP Optimize closes browser connection and execute the task by increasing PHP’s maximum execution time.

If your server setup restricts such things, you’ll get unexpected response error (which we are working on to fix)

You can make sure that the preloading is working, by purging cache and see this

    Current cache size: 0 KB
    Number of files: 0

When you see Last preload finished at 13:41, 10/10/2022 you’ll also see real stats of cache size.

    Hi Venkat,

    Thank you for your response.

I have purged the cache and it has been reset, so will check again tomorrow if there are stats of the cache size.

    Ryan

@thebusinesscat Sure thing do let us know how it goes?

    Hi Harshad,

I checked this morning, and the stats are as follows:

    Current cache size: 144 bytes
    Number of files: 2

Does that mean the preloader is working?

    @thebusinesscat

No. I don’t think it worked.
Could you please submit a support ticket here for further investigation?

    Hi Venkat,

    Thank you for confirming.

Can I submit a support ticket there even though this is not a pre-sale question? When I go to the link you mentioned, it states that all support questions must be asked on this forum.

    Regards,

Thank you, I have submitted a support ticket.

@thebusinesscat Yes, we have received your request, Venkat should get back to you soon.

I also too have this issue. The site I am trying to use this plugin with is on a go daddy shared hosting package. Other plugins include WP security, limit login attempts, envato market, master slider, and contact form7.
