    Site: https://spiritandtruthpwc.org/
    Theme: Customizr (Child)

While tweaking my site (CSS and functions.php), I decided to clear my cache (using W3 Total Cache) since there were so many changes made.

Now When I searching for a new plugin, I get the following message:

An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

I’m able to search on my other wordpress sites, which usually have the same plugins but different themes.

I’ve searched the forum and have tried adding proxy settings in wpconfig.

At my wit’s end. Please assist.

Have you tried: – deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s). If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try deactivating via FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
    – switching to the unedited default, core-bundled Theme (such as Twenty Twelve, Twenty Thirteen or Twenty Fourteen) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue. If you don’t have access to your admin area, you can switch to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using via FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides. Alternately, you can remove other themes except the default theme. That will force your site to use it.
resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems (because the hooks remain unless plugins completely removed or some plugins stick around in cached files. So by renaming the folder, you break them and force them inactive).

I do have access to my dashboard. I have deactivated all of my plugins, did not resolve.

I changed my theme to Twenty Fourteen and deactivated all of my plugins, also did not resolve the issue.

    – Check the error logs on your server for a more specific error message. If you need help locating them, ask your hosting provider to help you with that.

    Error logs section is empty.

Have you discussed this server configuration issue with your hosting provider?

Strangely my host provider stated they fixed it by removing the proxy settings in my wp-config when I only added that when trying to troubleshoot it myself… I do believe they did some other stuff on their end too. Nonetheless… it’s fixed

    Thanks!!!
