An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com

    – nothing on website has changed (except automatic wp updates.)
    – akismet sent me email saying cannot block spam due to website not responding
    – web page takes 30 seconds to load
    – wp-admin takes over a minute to load.
    – checked ISP server error log, nothing.
    – turned off all plugins.
    – wp-admin still taking over a minute to load
    – tried to roll back to known-stable theme, load theme page gets above error.
    – downloaded .zip file for twentysixteen, uploaded zip file, switched to that theme. Still getting errors, still getting above www.remarpro.com error, still taking minutes to load wp-admin.

    – tried to post this and got “cannot connect to www.remarpro.com” server error
    – checking out squarespace

  • I was about to tell you that the site seems to working fine now, it loaded up normally on my computer and phone several times.

    But, it seems that on my latest try something has since been changed in the wp-settings.php file. I am not sure where to start on checking that out, if you can locate that file either through your ftp site if that is working or through a program like filezilla, go ahead and post it here. Maybe there was some sort of alteration or addition to it that I or someone else could point out to find the problem.

    Thanks for trying, @joey. Akismet still couldn’t connect and wp-admin was taking minutes to load a page so…
    I’m reinstalling wordpress now…

    @dhorton: Your issue was probably GoDaddy; your server probably died. “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com” is always a host error.
