  • I have installed wordpress 4.7 on netelity.net/pcs . After installing, to install theme i went to appearence->themes->add new->upload theme, but it throws an error “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.”, but theme gets installs. When i try to install plugins again getting error
    “Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to www.remarpro.com. Please contact your server administrator.) in /home/netellcm/public_html/pcs/wp-admin/includes/plugin-install.php on line 165. Something went wrong with the plugin API”.

    Please can you check it

    There are generally two causes for this:

    1. One of those internet things that will resolve itself over a couple of hours, usually related to a DNS issue or bad mirror.

    2. A problem due to an old version of the openSSL libraries on your server. If (1) doesn’t turn out to be the case, check to make sure you have the latest openSSL available for your operating system installed on the server.

    In our case, this problem was resolved when we upgraded from PHP 5.4 beta to PHP 5.6. This was achieved by removing all PHP “AddHandler” statements other than:

    AddHandler application/x-httpd-php56 .php

    Thank you all for the help! In my situation it turned out to be a network issue. The auto-negotiate had incorrectly set the network speed.

    i am having the same problem. when i open the plugin tab in admin this error occur.

    An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

    some plugin can be installed. but when i try to install Toolset Plugin it show Update failed. dont understand what might be the issue.

    Above error is resolve by just updating PHP support version in host.
    Still the Toolset Plugin cannot be installed Messsage Update Failed!
