I installed the Platinum SEO plug-in. Then I installed the SEO Ultimate plug-in; then the Yoast WP SEO plug-in.

Have I installed too many and do I need all of them or should I deactivate the other two and keep the Platinum SEO plug-in?

have a look into the head area of your site (in the various pages) using the ‘view source’ of your browser, to see what the output in the meta description and meta keywords is, and if you can determine which plugin actually does the output.

as far as I see t, one of the plugins will dominate the output, and if you end up with multiple outputs of meta descriptions etc, the search engines will possibly just use the most top one.

yes – one seo plugin is enough; better still write consistent good content.

alchymyth: Thanks for your response. Yes…I checked under “View Source” and under ‘Meta Description’ and the seo plug-in is Platinum SEO, which was the first one I installed. So…based upon what you say, I should deactivate the others (SEO Ultimate and Yoast WP SEO) and just run with Platinum. Yes???

They all provide a similiar function. Pick one, and uninstall the rest. Personally I use Yoast, but they all virtually have the same functions.
