    All,

We are talking about an NGO website using the twenty ten theme. I am a volunteer here and a web designer. Would you change the theme? If yes to which one would you use as replacement? Or is there a quick way to make it responsive? Do I need to make a child theme? as no update will be made on this theme as far as I know.

There is a lot on this website I would rather make it responsive to be honest.

    Thank you!

There is no quick way to make Twenty Ten responsive, best to switch to a theme that is responsive to begin with. There are all sorts of responsive theme’s in the WordPress theme repository. It costs nothing to try, only the time it takes to install the theme and activate it (and it’s easy to install & activate from the admin dashboard without having to FTP the theme files), plus you can easily switch back to Twenty Ten if the theme doesn’t work out for you.

You didn’t post a link to your site, but if your primary aim is to keep the existing look, you might want to check out Montezuma, it’s my personal preference for themes. You mentioned that you’re a web designer, so if you are comfortable with HTML and CSS, then you’ll find the theme much easier to customize than other themes without having to create a child theme. You can read my opinions about it here.

Thank you very much CrounchingBruin. A new theme is probably the best indeed. What worries me is how all their texts pages are going to migrate to the next theme. I will look into the Montezuma theme that you have mentioned.
