An issue with the search in past events

Hi,
i’m facing an issue with the search in past events for a category.
I have an archive page for a category “Bereits durchgeführte Veranstaltungen“ it looks like this: https://drb-ja.com/events/kategorie/bereits-durchgefuehrte-veranstaltungen/list/?tribe_event_display=past
It works fine and shows exactly what I need. But once I try a search by date from this page, it does not work properly: for example I have an event on January 31th 2019, I type the date or choose it on the date picker, press search button, but instead of getting this event as first in the list, I only get the event up to that date – in my case it is an event for 27th of January – only that one. So when I search for the event on the 27th of January it says, that no events found, because that is the earliest event in that category.
Now the searchlink looks like that (for the 27th): https://drb-ja.com/events/kategorie/bereits-durchgefuehrte-veranstaltungen/list/?tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=past&tribe-bar-date=2019-01-27
But if I change “past” for “list” (before &tribe-bar-date) in the link – everything works fine. More than that all the other search queries from that page will work correctly before I close it.

Oddly enough I could replicate this issue on your demo web-site.
I go here: https://wpshindig.com/events/category/wp-meetups/ than I add this to the link: /list/?tribe_event_display=past (as I found in that ticket https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/displaying-past-events/ should show me all past events for certain category), than I choose a date, say 2019-08-08 – there is an event for this date, but I get the search results as follows: https://wpshindig.com/events/category/wp-meetups/list/?tribe_event_display=past?tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=past&tribe-bar-date=2019-08-08&tribe_eventcategory=25
Instead of the event for the 8th of August I get all the events before that date starting from June 12th to the August 7th. But when I switch “past” for “list” I get the results I need: https://wpshindig.com/events/category/wp-meetups/list/?tribe_event_display=past?tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=list&tribe-bar-date=2019-08-08&tribe_eventcategory=25
So basically the search by date in past events works by the logic “all events until the chosen date”, but that is hardly, what a user would need, if he searches for a certain date.
Is it a bug, or it was meant that way? ?? If it was meant that way, could you perhaps reconsider and do it more userfriendly – the way search works on all the other event pages: you chose the date, you get all the events on that date first, than all of the ones, that follow.
