Everything was working fine yesterday, today nothing has changed and now getting the error below.

I did see another post from a couple of years back saying this can be caused by minify, typically by an optimization plugin, but I do not have any such plugins.

The site runs via CloudFlare to the outside world, but I’m accessing it locally, via the LAN IP, so CloudFlare shouldn’t be involved with my view of things.

An error occurred while running 'mapSelect': e(...) is null

The error may be correlated with this previous error:

    Hi @athnic

Thanks for reaching out and sharing the error you are seeing. To help you further with this, please could you share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. When checking the Site Kit dashboard from a Chrome browser incognito window does the same occur?
    3. Does the error display when following the troubleshooting steps here?

If you have any questions in the meantime then let me know and I will be happy to help.

Thank you Adam. I have submitted the requested information via the Google Form for privacy seeing has it contains a lot of very specific potentially sensitive information about our server environment.

One side note: I have SELinux enabled and enforcing. Turning this off makes no difference with this fault.

Interestingly, the issue does not occur in Chrome – Incognito or otherwise. No problems in Safari either. My daily browser is Firefox though and this has the issue, though not in a Private window.

So it seems something in the browser is at fault. I use the same extensions across the browsers, but I’ll look down that path next and report back.

Somewhat confusing because as mentioned, nothing has changed between it working one day and ceasing to work about 7 hours later the next day. It looks very much like a browser issue though at this point.

@athnic Thank you for sharing this information it’s most useful. As you have mentioned, this looks to be browser related in this instance so perhaps a Firefox browser setting? Have you tried clearing your Firefox browsing cache?

I will take a look also at your Site Health Information to see if there is anything I can spot here but it does seem to be related to the specific browser and it’s good to know that you are not experiencing this in other browsers.

If I spot anything that stands out I will update you here and I will also await your update following your next performed checks.

So far initial testing shows this works fine in the exact same version of Firefox on a Windows 11 VM (my main machine is an Intel MacBook Pro 2018).

I tried disabling all extensions on the Mac Firefox and it still doesn’t work.

Firefox is synced between machines, including all extensions etc, so it’s odd that it works on Windows 11 but not the macOS version. I’ll keep digging.

    I cleared:
    Cached Web Content
“Will require web sites to reload images and data”

    But did not clear:
    Cookies and Site Data
“You may get signed out of web sites if cleared”

This has cured the issue. So not a cookie issue, or an extension, or the quite high security level I have Firefox running under, but a cached content thing. I’m a little suprised by this given the dynamic nature of the content Site Kit is displaying, built everytime from the data on Google Analytics. I wouldn’t have anticipated caching to be a thing.
