Are you refunding from the order edit page or somewhere else, let’s say via WooCommerce API? Could you please enable the debug mode in your Stripe setting? Once you’ve done that, please try to recreate the error you encountered. Afterwards, share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.

I am doing the refund from the WooCommerce edit order screen and I have debug error mode on but it does not generate anything in the fatal error table.

I am running the following versions:
WordPress 6.5.2
WooCommerce 8.7.0
WooCommerce Stripe Gateway 8.5.1

I see you have outdated versions of WooCommerce and WordPress.

We recommend keeping everything updated. Regularly updating everything helps maintain your site’s security, performance, and compatibility while ensuring you benefit from the latest features and improvements.

So please update Woo, WordPress, your theme, as well as any other plugin that has a newer version and check if the issue persists.
