an error occurred in wc services

Are you seeing any issues when trying to add products to cart and go to checkout? Sometimes the errors are just on the backend and don’t affect the actual purchasing and checkout experience.

This error usually displays because all the details are not entered on the checkout form. In this case the zip code is not matching the state when it’s trying to get the rate, but it looks like the state has not been entered yet. This can happen on the cart page or checkout page when still entering details.

If you are having issues not seeing tax rates on your site when the entire checkout fields are filled out (including State and Postcode/ZIP), can you tell us what your store address is, and what address you are using when checking out? I would also suggest going to your Plugins page and making sure WooCommerce Services is updated to the latest version.

I tried calculating shipping on both the https://ezhangdoor.com/cart/ and https://ezhangdoor.com/checkout/ pages and they worked fine for me.

It is possible that could just be something in the backend. Although, I don’t think it’s due to the details not being entered, as it’s now happening on every order.

I had the same issue when I first got the plugin, but I can’t remember what solved it. I believe it was just an update.

Orders seem to be going through just fine, so it isn’t a huge issue. I just hope there isn’t something we aren’t catching that is causing us to lose sales.

I tried testing again and didn’t have an issue. If the orders are going through for customers but not for you when you’re logged in, it may be a caching thing. If you have caching setup anywhere, make sure you exclude the /cart and /checkout page (as well as the /my-account page) from being cached.

Can you try logging out of your account and not logging in when testing rates? Then try logging in again and testing the rates.

If that doesn’t help, could you please send us a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it here in the thread. Thanks!

I do use WP Rocket for chaching, but all woocommerce pages are excluded by default.

The rates do seem to be working fine on the test, both logged in and out. The thing is, I only receive the error message after an order goes through. So The orders are working, but there’s one corresponding error per order.
