    hello Friend
I really hope you can help me. I am sure that this is a theme problem cause I have tried everything possible.

The matter is that nobody, except the admin is enable to upload media files into media library. I have frontend post available and need to let my user to insert images into their post. I have tried numerous plugins because of the “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.” they are – User submitted post, WP user frontend, Frontier post, Frontier uploader… all of this have got the same problem, the user is unable to upload media file into library.

I have decativted all my plughins, I have 48 plugins installed and reactivated it one by one, it did not resolve the problem, I have re installed the wordpress, it did not resolved the problem, I check al capabilities, user are allowed to upload files… so, I guess, after suche research the only factor remains with my theme.

Have you tried with a standard theme? I don’t know those plugins but it’s possible they don’t work on every theme.

you mean have I change my theme from virtue to other? No, I have not. If I change will I loos all my setting with virtue?

    (@britner)

no, the reason I suggest doing this is most often the error you have is due to server not theme.

what is the name of virtue theme js/custom_upload.js file ?

No, this is not server issue unfortunately, this is permanent error, from the first day I have tried to upload media files as a 3rd party, as a subscriber, not admin.

at first I thought this is because of wrong plugin, but I have tried every single plugin, then looked for conflicts, the problem stays.

need to find the file in your theme that does the custom upload which will more than likely be a .js file

custom upload isn’t a theme file it’s a wordpress file. There isn’t a theme file that handles uploads.

then where should go the media file that is uploaded by 3rd party in your themes file?

    (@britner)

The theme doesn’t have an media upload file. Did you try your setup using a standard theme?

Tell me the minimum capabilities set for your users

I have two type of user
    1. ‘Editor’ for reviewing post from backend and relpy to post made by author.
    2. ‘Author’ for creating post from frontend.
none of the user can upload file from frontend.
    Thanks for your relpy.
