  • Just updated wordpress and tried to upload pics to my first post. Received this error. Looks like a real winner of an update guys.

How about a little more error detail beyond “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”

@zane As per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic. Posting in an existing topic prevents us from being able to track issues by topic. Added to which, your problem – despite any similarity in symptoms – is likely to be completely different.

Jan – That seems counter intuitive.

I was able to fix my issue by switching over to Firefox. Why the interface changed when switching from chrome to Firefox I don’t know. Firefox used the old interface which worked. Hope this helps others who find this post with the same problem ( which is likely since it comes up #1 on google when searching the error produced ).

@zane stop being antagonistic towards the community, it won’t help anything.

@kmessinger – I am not sure, so busy I haven’t had time to look. I will have another look soon.

Sorry, I was a little annoyed that such a big release would have such an apparent issue.

Did you try a different browser?

I’m having the same problem in both Chrome and Firefox.
The work around that works for me is using the Insert from URL option in the Insert Media window.

    Hi there,

Your problem may not because of all your plugin. I faced the same problem, but when i go to see in media sector I can see many images was uploaded.

Please go to see your images file uploaded in your media sector. That would be there.

I am having same issue! Please somebody help!

Same problem here. Yesterday I had no problem, but when I upload a picture, I get the error: “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”
Although the file is uploaded successfully my media library is blank. The only plugin I installed lately was Counterize, but I have disabled it completely.

Which part of “please post your own topic” did you not understand?

Ok, I will adhere to this pointless action. not that everybody has the same problem.

    sorry will do!
