    Sorry for this late reply, have you still this error ?
    It’s probably due to a missing extension (PHP CURL) or a firewall restriction (avoiding to reach the webservice). The best way to solve it is to enable log in your reSmush.it extension dashboard (right panel), and browse the resmushit.log file which has been created on the root of your website, after having tried to optimise some picts.

    I have the same problem and it’s the first time I experienced that: I use the plugin with no problem on different websites and hosting.

    Well, the issue is with knownhost.com and I contacted their support: they say the plugin IP is not blocked by the firewall and they asked if there is any other IP than resmush.it. 119 IN A 163.172.52.78

    Log file reported a generic connection error.
