An error occured when contacting webservice

  • Im getting that error when trying to smush pictures, it worked before, ran it once, but now it wont work anymore. It loads and seems to be working, but when it reach 100%, that error appears.

    My host says that fopen stuff is active on the server:

    ; Fopen wrappers ;
    ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
    ; Whether to allow the treatment of URLs (like https:// or ftp://) as files.
    ; https://www.php.net/manual/en/filesystem.configuration.php#ini.allow-url-fopen
    allow_url_fopen = On

    Ask the plugin author if he has any troubleshooting commands we can run to see why the plugin is not working

    Thanks for using our plugin ??
    If it was working before, and if you didn’t change your hosting plan, you should have a PHP Error. Ask to your hosting partner to provide you the PHP error log file, and feel free to copy/paste theme in this board ??

    Generally, it’s due to a picture file which is registered in your database, but missing on your server.

    My webhost came up with this:

    I dont see any errors in logs
    I activated logging for this plugin and its sending the info to /home/sites/arctichikes.no/htdocs/resmushit.log
    From what I see its trying to optimise the images then its reverting them back
    Here is a snippet from the log file:

    [18-07-2018 10:19:16] Revert original image for : /home/sites/arctichikes.no/htdocs/wp-content/uploads/how-to-use-gpx-maps-sidebar.jpg

    Does that make you any wiser?

    Do you also use a particular Media Plugin to manage your pictures ?

    Nope, ill try to have php updated to latest version, but strange how it worked before, then stopped. If it dont work after that ill just use some other plugin :/
