    I am getting an error message when placing an order

    The site currency is RON – Romanian Lei
    Trying to use Pay Pal Express checkout.

    Hi @wiiiiktor,

    From what I can gather, RON is not actually supported by PayPal at this time. I would recommend contacting PayPal to confirm this, but this error is certainly coming from PayPal rather than the plugin or WooCommerce.

    Hi, i have been having the same issue with my woocommerce site. I certainly found a way to convert my unsupported currency to USD just before any request is made to paypal but this owrk for standard Paypal only, it doesn’t work for Paypal Express Checkout. Does anyone had such an issue and if you did found a solution, please share it with me. Thanks

    Hy everyone.

    Thanks for the reply. It seems like that the currency is not supported in paypal. However the country is amomg the accpeted lists.. little bit confusing.

    There are tweaks to convert currencys within the plugin php lines and for me it seems like covering a the problem with a no solution and dont really seem professional.

    So what i did was super simple and for everyone trying to accept payments in RON, just create an account with Stripe than you are good to go.
    You only need to make sure that your site has SSL certificate. You even save money on transaction fees.
