An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update

    In my dashboard, I have this message:

    An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again now.

    When I click on the hyperlinked part “please attempt the update again” it takes me to the WP update page that shows no updates available.

    This started showing after 5.4. According to the lower LHS of the dashboard, I have 5.4 installed.

    How can I get rid of this notice from the dashboard?
