After the upgrade to WordPress 5.9, Google Analytics is reporting AMP issues with our site. AMP plug-in is telling me there are incompatibilities with three of our plugins; Dynamic Product Gallery for WooCommerce, WooCommerce and Embed Plus Plugin for YouTube, with YouTube Gallery, Channel, Playlist, Live Stream, Facade. Have used all these plugins together for some time with no issues but only been able to use the AMP Reader in Legacy Mode successfully. Hosting on GoDaddy and they cannot help told me to reach out to plugin developers. Any help is appreciated.

    Hello @melodiew

Can you switch back to the previous template mode temporarily so that we can check the AMP validation error?

Regarding WooCommerce, It is not yet fully compatible, but it can be configured to work at a basic level.

    1) I will suggest disabling AMP on cart and checkout pages

    2) Update cart behavior settings to redirect on adding a product in cart and disabling Ajax add to cart check on from Archive.

Additionally, I will suggest using This Plugin, it can help you in addressing some Incompatibilities in WoCommerce.

if you are planning to use WooCommerce and Other plugins with validation errors, I will recommend switching to Standard Mode with Sandboxing Level : Loose

You can learn more about Sandboxing Levels using this article

Your pages won’t be AMP, but they can benefit from the AMP plugin to deliver a superior Page Experience where it seeks Opportunities, Page Experience is new Ranking factor considered by Search Engine while ranking your site.

Eg: If you have Page where you are using an Image gallery that requires scripts
Using Sandboxing you can keep those scripts (AMP invalidations)

On the same page, you have a youtube embed that can be converted to Bento Component to create a better Page Experience.

    Hope this helps!

    Milind,

Thank you for looking into this for me. I tried switching templates to the Standard and also tried the Transitional and the number of incompatibilities more than doubled. I quickly put it back. By the way we are not using WooCommerce’s cart and checkout pages at all. We have a custom plugin from Advancedware for our e-commerce. We simply use WooCommerce for organizing our products and product image gallery. I am not familiar with a Bento Component so I will look into that. Thank you!

    Hello @melodiew

Yes, Please don’t worry about incompatibilities they will be marked as Kept, in case you enable Sandboxing with Loose Mode.
