I found some odd thing with ampersands in channel and episode descriptions: I first saw it in my feed and checked it on others’ feeds that I found here in the support forums. They all have the same problem.

I put this in the description in one of my episodes:
With Bryan Kearney, Andy Moor, Photographer & Susana, Daniel Kandi, Amir Hussain and more.

    <itunes:summary> and <content:encoded> seem okay:
With Bryan Kearney, Andy Moor, Photographer & amp; Susana, Daniel Kandi, Amir Hussain and more.

    <description> makes it this way:
With Bryan Kearney, Andy Moor, Photographer & #38; Susana, Daniel Kandi, Amir Hussain and more.

    But <itunes:subtitle> desctructs it:
With Bryan Kearney, Andy Moor, Photographer and#38; Susana, Daniel Kandi, Amir Hussain and more.

Somewhere in the plugin, “&” seems to be replaced with “and” – even if the & is already part of an entity.

I hardcoded the part for replacing the “&” out in templates/feed-podcast.php to have it right in my feed. Here’s another feed that has the same problem. Just search for and# to see it. ??

I’ve seen it also happen in & nbsp; becoming and nbsp;, what could make troubleshooting a bit heavier. :-/
