    Hello,

First of all, thank you for this excellent plug-in. It works perfectly for our needs and has been a huge help in getting people to use our new intranet WordPress site.

I have found just one minor issue. I have a notification set up to include the [post_title] shortcode in the subject. When the post title includes an ampersand, the subject of the email notification comes across with the HTML character code instead of the ampersand. For example, “Meet & Greet” becomes Meet & amp ; Greet. Any idea how I can fix this?

Edit: not sure how to get the html code for ampersand to come across, so I’ve added spaces.

    Thanks a lot,
    Tom Monks

    Hi @@monksy,
    Thanks for your message.

Does this happen in all email apps or is just one in particular? Trying to ascertain whether it’s BNFW encoding the post_title incorrectly on the email app interpreting the ampersand incorrectly.

Hi @voltronik , thanks for the quick response!

We only use web-based Gmail here, so I’m not sure what it’s like in other email apps. As a simple test, I sent myself an email from another domain with an ampersand in the subject and it came through fine.

    Hi @monksy,
    Thanks for testing.

I’ll see if I can reproduce it in testing.

I have been unable to replicate this. Closing for now but if you need further help with this, please feel free to re-open this thread.
