    Hi AMP,

We use mailpoet to send post notifications to email subscribers when posts are published.
Today we discovered it had sent 5 notifications of a new post even though nothing new had been published.
Using Activity Log I discovered that something to do with amp_validation is editing the publishing dates of the “amp_validated_url” post types.
I’m thinking this is the cause of the multiple notification issue. Why is the AMP validator changing the published dates on posts?

    Thanks,
    Mik

    Hello @commuter

Thank you for contacting us, the amp_validated_url post type is a custom post type created to store AMP validation data it’s not meant for the public and should be only accessible to Admin.

The AMP plugin can update its validation data, metadata, taxonomy, tags, etc to store AMP validation data, it has nothing to do with your post (default post type)

In case you MailPoet is sending a notification/email once amp_validated_url is published, I will recommend contacting mail poet and checking how can you exclude amp_validated_url post type from the email notification

    I hope this helps!
