AMP version not showing up in Google

In cases like this, this is what you do.
Immediately copy the amp URL that supposedly has the problem and enter it into the AMP Project Validator here:
https://validator.ampproject.org/

If it receives a pass, get on with your life because there was no problem in the first place.

In your case there is no problem. Generally these errors get reported because while Google was crawling the page or your site or while analyzing the code THEY had a problem leading to a false error being generated.

Next time Googlebot swings by they will re-analyse the page and it will return to the index provided the page is of sufficient quality according to Google’s rules.

Very strange: when I tried the AMP validator https://validator.ampproject.org the page passes but when I used the google validator https://search.google.com/test/amp it gives an error

This code is being seen by the google validator

When I look in the source code for the AMP page I don’t see this code at all. Then when I check the canoncial I do see it. Question in my mind is why does google sees this code on an AMP page unless some javascript is being thrown into it in some weird way.

Yah… I feel like weird too, as it has been working well for months. But one thing I have done recently is deactivating the “Autoptimize” plugin, which is used for minifying JavaScript. Would it be related to the rise of the AMP problem?

I just checked and that page is getting validated in both validators.
