AMP Validation Error

  • Received the following error after validating in Google:

    The tag ‘meta http-equiv=Content-Type’ may only appear as a descendant of tag ‘head’

    Please can anyone help?

  • @siverfox The following code is being inserted into your AMP URLs:
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">

    Most likely a plugin is placing that code. Can you try locate the source by deactivating one by one and trying again?

    Thanks James. What type of plugin do you think could cause this? Any ideas? Thanks again Paul

    You can try and deactivate them one by one to locate the source. If you want to share you Site Health info, or the plugins in use I can see if I notice anything.

    @siverfox I can see the error no longer appears on your site. Did you manage to locate the source or plugin causing the issue?
