    Hi,
The reason i wanted to move to AMP is because of Adsense and speed.
But i had no ads for a week on pages using AMP.

I used the standard mode, it keeps the url the same but no ads displayed
In my last attempt i’ve add at the end of url “/?amp” and the ads displayed

Should i use transitional mode or do i have other option to add this question mark with amp ?

Thanks in advance for your help

  • @chillmen thanks for your topic!

To use Adsense on AMP pages you’ll need ensure that the correct AMP version of the code is implemented on the site. This goes for any mode of the plugin. There are several plugins that can help you achieve this as mentioned in this article. We also recommend the Site Kit plugin if you are using Adsense Auto Ads.

    Hi,

Believe me i used everything i could, even the site kit by google, that i’m still using by the way.
Using the site kit plugin, without site kit plugin, adding the code manually, changing wp theme, enable/disable things many times, … ,nothing worked. The only thing that worked is by adding /?amp to my url.
my pages are valid amp pages via the google test page, but no ads want to display only after adding /?amp

Thanks for the update. Providing you’re ads are working on your non AMP site and you’ve inserted the correct AMP ad codes it’s not unusual for ads to take longer to be served on AMP URLs, in particular if you’ve recently implemented AMP.

If you’d like to share your Site Health information privately via this form we can check and confirm the correct code placements. As you mentioned it might be a good idea to switch to transitional mode in the meantime to ensure there is ad traffic.

Thanks for your help James, but i give up,
One week without a single ad displayed on my website, does not worth it, something not working, i have no idea where it coming from.

I also contacted adsense support, the person told me that i’m not using AMP on my website because my urls are not ending with /amp/, and when i check via the google amp page test, it tells me that your page is AMP.

I checked the amp adsense codes many times, they are add by site kit plugin.

AMP is much better than any optimization plugin i’ve tested, in term of speed it’s unbeatable.

I will give another try in a month or two.

Sorry to hear that. In standard mode there won’t be any /amp or /?amp at the end of your URLs as you already may know.

If you do happen to revisit AMP get in touch should you have any queries. If ads were the primary issue you can enable AMP in transitional mode with limited content types while awaiting Auto ads for AMP to be served, or alternatively test out manually inserting AMPHTML ads.
