AMP showing on Desktop Google Search Result

Well for what it’s worth, I googled the same query on my desktop, I saw your website address and it correctly did NOT give me the AMP link/version of your link.

Try googling again maybe in incognito mode or in a couple different browsers.

When I check the AMP URL, I see it correctly links to the canonical URL in the source code:

I can’t reproduce that. When I google “Top 15 of the most romantic hotels in Chicago” on desktop, the non-AMP version of the page shows up; and when I do the same on mobile, the AMP version shows up.

This does not seem to be an issue with the AMP plugin.

There is no issue with that. This forum only supports issues with the AMP plugin; general questions about AMP cache, Search Console, indexing, etc., need to be addressed in the proper forums.
