Hello, AMP Team.

So, I’ve been using the plugin for some time now. Nice work with it, by the way.

Recently I had to migrate my website from one server to another and everything went well, except that my non-AMP traffic is not being redirected correctly to my AMP pages/posts.

The problem is that some posts are showing on Google Analytics real-time with ?amp and some won’t. Those posts are getting indexed and they show in SERPs with the AMP symbol near the result but when the user reaches the website, the page is NOT AMP.

Things I already tried:

– Disabling Cache Plugins;
– Validating the pages/posts with the AMP Validation Extension (all of them are indeed AMP);
– Disabling all other plugins and switching the theme to a default WP theme.

Can you please help me with this? If the explanation is not clear enough, I can provide screenshots and further information.

Thanks for the support topic, Can you please share steps to reproduce the issue on a particular page where we can reproduce the issue also please share screenshots and any related information.

Hey.

So, here’s an example. This test was executed with an Android Phone and plugin settings are in transitional mode:

I Googled a keyword “doencas preexistentes minuto seguros” which I know my website is ranking for as AMP. Here’s the result snippet I get:

When I reach the page, this is the URL I get:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.minutoseguros.com.br/blog/o-que-sao-doencas-preexistentes-no-seguro-de-vida-entenda/

The page is not AMP and that’s detected by Google Analytics:

On the other hand, I do have ?amp=1 traffic as you can see here:

So my question is: why the result is indexed as AMP and the final page shown is not the AMP version?

Can you please help me with the issue? Is anything wrong with my AMP implementation?

Thanks for the details, There is nothing wrong with your AMP implementation.

When I reach the page, this is the URL I get:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.minutoseguros.com.br/blog/o-que-sao-doencas-preexistentes-no-seguro-de-vida-entenda/

Your page is being served from the AMP cache URL, which is normal and also a one of the purposes of having AMP.

Google serves valid AMP pages and its resources from the cache to provide a faster user experience. you can learn more about the benefits and purpose of AMP cache in this article.

Even if the AMP it’s served from cache the analytics will keep recording traffic for your site AMP page URL which also normal.
