It does have limited support for Twenty Fourteen, but nothing specific for that theme. On other words, the theme will behave as if JS is turned off in the browser since custom scripts are not allowed in AMP. We did test the default theme conversion with Twenty Fourteen and we saw that it visually looks the same in AMP.

We will likely update the AMP plugin to make the older core themes directly supported as well.

I means to say when new update will come. so that new update will support twenty fourteen theme?
one more question this is the link of website “https://www.creativesystems.com/”
the theme that used in this site is twenty fourteen.
And you are saying that in amp will not support custom js. And in this website custom js is applied. So what will be the solution that my site will be in amp and will behave same as now with custom js.
please suggest me if there any solution because if amp will not support custom js, then my website will disturb.
please suggest me the alternate solution so that my website will be in amp and custom js will also applied.

First-party support for Twenty Fourteen could come in January, not likely before.

And you are saying that in amp will not support custom js. And in this website custom js is applied. So what will be the solution that my site will be in amp and will behave same as now with custom js.

AMP does not allow custom JS. If you want interactive features that you’d normally use custom JS for, you’ll instead need to use the components that AMP provides: https://www.ampproject.org/docs/reference/components

For in-depth examples of how these components are used, see https://ampbyexample.com/

should I have made site from scratch if I want to move in amp?

You don’t have to create a new theme. You can instead create a child theme of Twenty Fourteen to make it AMP-compatible. For getting started with that, see https://amp-wp.org/documentation/getting-started/

    I have two questions
    1) currently child theme of twenty fourteen theme is using. and it is developed in wordpress. you can see in this link “https://www.creativesystems.com/”.
To make it amp-compatible, what should i do?
    2) Should i start twenty fourteen child developed theme to amp-compatible from scratch now or wait for plugin update?
Is there any alternate solution in the form of plugin for this developed site in amp compatible. because it is large website. I want to save time. Because making this child developed theme from scratch takes too much time
    Please suggest me

You can create a child theme of Twenty Fourteen that adds AMP compatibility. Your child theme would need to implement the techniques described under https://amp-wp.org/documentation/playbooks/

    Developed twenty fourteen child theme?
or you means to say that make another child theme of twenty fourteen and work on it scratch to make it amp compatible?

I said the plugin could come in January. We don’t have a firm date for the next release yet. You can follow https://github.com/ampproject/amp-wp/issues/1742 for updates.

hi @westonruter, I have seen the “AMP plugin update” in plugins admin section. But in the changelog of plugin, I have not seen the “amp theme compatibility support for twenty fourteen theme” ?
It looks like that currently, no update came for twenty fourteen theme?
