Been running with AMP for a long time with no issues now GSC is reporting AMP page is invalid – Referenced AMP URL is not an AMP. Even on the most simple pages. Validator indicates that I have an OK AMP page, yet GSC says no. Thus, the AMP version is not indexed. Sent Support UUID

    Hello @thumbwind

Thank you for creating support topic, As we checked your AMP page.

We noticed that it’s redirecting to non-AMP pages, the redirection is being done by the AMP plugin if you choose to “Keep” any validation error

When you keep a validation error it makes AMP pages invalid, Only valid AMP pages are cached in the AMP cache, so the AMP plugin redirects AMP pages that are invalid to non-AMP pages to prevent traffic loss.

There are two methods to fix this issue

    Method 1

    Step 1:

Login as Admin, Goto AMP->Validated URL

From Dropdown select “With Kept Markup”

    Step 2:

Click on details from any URL that is listed and change the “Kept” to Removed” once change is done click on “Update”

Repeat the process until you don’t see anything in the Validated URLs with Kept Markup section (from Step 1)

    Method 2

There is another easiest method by re-installing the AMP plugin, but it will delete all your settings and validation data, in that case, you need to revisit the plugin setup wizard

One of the easiest ways to remove all validation data is by re-installing the plugin with the delete plugin data settings on.

    Step 1:

Goto – > AMP Settings -> Other -> toggle ON the “Delete plugin data at uninstall

Then go to Plugin->Installed plugins deactivate the plugin and delete it.
Once deleted Click Add New Search “AMP” and choose AMP plugin with blue logo

Recheck your AMP pages using ?amp=1 parameter

    We hope this helps!
