AMP Modal box or lightbox

Hi,
I was wondering if popup or modal box can be setup with AMP-WP. I tried these 2 options and non of them worked,, i am very interested in the modal box option if possible, how can i achieve it with AMP-wp?

The upcoming version1.0of the plugin will probably allow displaying images and galleries as lightboxes, when using Gutenberg. The Beta version will probably be released in June.https://github.com/Automattic/amp-wp/pull/1121
What were you planning on displaying in the
<amp-lightbox>?Good point, it looks like the
<amp-lightbox>example from yourampproject.orglink doesn’t appear correctly in the post content. It looks likewpautop()is adding<p>tags, and moving elements outside of the<amp-lightbox>:
