    Hi,

I have installed the AMP plugin on my 4 websites but only 1 website got the following errors. Then, I received this email last night.

    —–

Search Console has identified that your site is affected by 4 AMP issues:

    Top Errors

Errors can prevent your page or feature from appearing in Search results. The following errors were found on your site:

    Custom JavaScript is not allowed.

Only amp-boilerplate and amp-custom ‘style’ tags are allowed, and only in the document head.

The tag ‘style amp-custom’ appears more than once in the document.

    Top Warnings

Warnings are suggestions for improvement. Some warnings can affect your appearance on Search; some might be reclassified as errors in the future. The following warnings were found on your site:

Error in required structured data element

We recommend that you fix these issues when possible to enable the best experience and coverage in Google Search.

If I can choose, I don’t want to disable the AMP plugin because I see a great improvement of the PageSpeed that is the result I want for a long time.

But some problems arise in Google Analytics and AdSense.

In the morning, I found the Google Analytics is strange. AdSense has no statistics that come from the affected website. At that time, I almost fell on the floor. My heart almost come out. Then I found my website has no ads anymore.

When I disabled AMP, the ads come out again.

I really have no ideas about that. My website uses WordPress. How can I fix the above errors? Do I need to change the code?

    Does anyone experience it before?

    Please help me

    Thank you so much.
    CT

  • @cua0701 For the Search Console errors you’ll need to ensure your site contains no validation errors before requesting re-indexing. It could be a plugin, user generated content, stale results or other issue resulting in Search Console errors.

For Analytics you will need to implement AMP Analytics in order to see reports for your AMP URLs. Visits to your non AMP site would be tracked as normal, but to include AMP URLs you will need to add the correct AMP analytics tracking code. There is a tab from within the plugin options where you can add Analytics from various vendors, you can find out more on that here.

In relation to AdSense you may have implemented Analytics via the traditional JavaScript implementation. As JavaScript is restricted in AMP you need to implement AMP ads specifically for your AMP URLs. As with Analytics your non AMP URLs would not be affected and everything should work as normal. If you were using AMP in standard mode that may have been the cause for no ads for that time period.

For AdSense here is a help centre article with instructions on implementing ads for your AMP pages.
