    Hello,

when i installed AMP for WP, the AMP Pages have the little lightning bolt symbol and the word AMP next to them, shown i google search results.

When yet searching in google, the results is without the AMP Icon.

I reindexed the AMP Version again in GWT, still not the AMP in Search Results shown.

    What can be the problem?

    Thx
    Best regards
    Sally

When doing the AMP Validation Test, With the actual AMP for WP Plugin Version, the website is not valid anymore…

Prohibited HTML Tag with AMP equivalent
Prohibited or invalid use of HTML Tag
    User-authored JavaScript found on page

How i can fix this errors, can this be the Problem?

    Thx
    Regards

    Hi Sally,
Yes I just checked and it seems none of the amp pages are validating.

Unfortunately this looks like a job for the developer so I guess you should put in a support ticket on it.

    Hi Lancecarr,

thanks for checking this! You mean i should forward this to my Theme Development?

    No the plugin developers.

In the plugin settings there is an entry for Report an Error or Request a Feature.

Hit the Report an Error button and it allows you to kick out an email directly to them.

    Hi Sally,
Is your site https… in other words, Secure?

Google unvalidated and unindexed my pages when I activated search because my site wasn’t https.

I used the free ssl certificate from Cloudflare to convert my site to https, then I had to add that site to Webmaster Tools, and today 57 of my pages are indexed.

But, none of my pages show the lightening bold in search. Does the lightening bolt only show if you search from a mobile phone?

    Hi ConsiderThis,

no, i dont have yet migrated to https, but I’m on it :). Some AMP for WP Versions before, when i Validated my Pages, i had no errors, and they where ok. Google indexed my Pages and Posts, and showed All with the lightening bold in the search results, only when i searched from mobile phone.

In my case is strange, that the Icon is not shown anymore, but when clicking the link, the AMP Version of my site opens.

    Best Regards
    Sally

Short Example: When you search in google on mobile device for amp, you will see the result from ampproject.org, what show the AMP Icon ..

I checked via AMP Validator again, result is, that all my Posts still have the AMP Icon, and they are valid…, and the work.

The Problem seems to be the Landing Page, and all other Pages on my Website

I don’t have a mobile phone to use, but in my case I had nearly all my pages validated when I activated the search feature. That made Google UNvalidate my pages because Google requires that a site have https if search is used in AMP.

You can get a free ssl certificate from Cloudflare is you are using Cloudflare’s free service. Then switching to https is pretty easy if you use the Remove http plugin, if you’re in WordPress, from Fact Maven.

Then, you have to go to WebMaster Tools and under Crawl, select Fetch as Google for Mobile Phones. Or, maybe it says Smart Phones.

Ok, just while you activated the search feature in the AMP Plugin, the problems start in your case?

Yes i use CF Free Plan. Is the Free SSL cert the Flexible SSL Solution from CF? Do you have a Dedicated Server?

    Thx
