• Hi there
any help would be massively appreciated.

When we installed amp in Nov, we selected Classic to start and it created /amp canonical versions of the URL for indexing. This was done because we got the error “Warning: There is content which fails AMP validation” whenever Paired was set up.

This worked just fine and they’re indexing in the SE’s

Now I see that PAIRED is a better option and want to implement. I tried turning on Paired, as I saw the error is just informational, but it just served the current theme website in mobile – so I have no idea if that was native or not.

Didn’t leave it on as I didn’t want to affect rankings.

    My questions are:
    1. will implementing paired in any way affect SE rankings if the /amp pages?
Do they get removed or does Google just pick up the new page?

    2. We use Google Ad Manager (GAM) to serve ads on our desktop version, but the ads won’t serve at all on AMP. Is there a trick I’m missing? GAM wants special headers served in AMP pages, but In wordpress there’s no specific place for me to integrate the code to serve this header in AMP pages only.

Help would be super appreciated – i’m in deep oceans here ??

Using AMP in paired mode will not affect your ranking, provided the AMP version is not too different from the canonical content. Regarding the use of GAM together with AMP, the ad tags used have to be compatible with AMP. We cannot provide support on that front, but there is documentation you can check, and also I suggest you check with the forums.
