AMP for WP 1.0.65 not fully compatible with Classic Editor

    Hi guys,

    This is a fantastic plugin and most of the time works flawlessly. The most recent update unfortunately doesn’t work with Classic Editor. I have tried it with multiple themes and same issue. When active, Classic Editor’s button and features stop working. When downgraded to the previous version, Classic Editor starts working again.

    I found the plugin to be the issue by deactivating all my plugins and activating them one at a time to see which one was causing Classic Editor the issue. Any help with this is appreciated.

  • I’m experiencing the exact same problem since updating to AMP for WP 1.0.65 today. The Classic Editor was rendered useless until I deactivated the AMP plugin. Hopefully, a fix will be released soon!

    I deactivated the AMP plugin.

    This is happening because this plugin includes jQuery 3.1.1, you can edit /wp-content/plugins/accelerated-mobile-pages/pagebuilder/inc/assets/vue-select2/select2_jquery.min.js and remove all the JS code (I have not checked whether page builder still works – I think it should but I would recommend only doing this if you do not use the AMP page builder) or downgrade to previous version.

    We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience. Can you please update the latest version of the plugin(1.0.65.1) and check once whether having the same issue or not. Then do let us know.

    Hi Ahmed,

    Seems to be solved. At least on a couple of my own sites that I tested. I always do what @ashutosh Sharma suggested anyway, fixing the code on my own ?? But seems the latest update has fixed it.
