AMP Errors in GSC

    Looks like we are having same issues others are having in GSC.

    The parent tag of tag ‘html’ must be ‘!doctype’.
    A mandatory AMP HTML tag is missing from this document.

    I did the SITE HEALTH that you referenced in your previous email. Disabled some plugins (not all) to see if i could figure it out but didn’t work

    Still issues.

    My friend said it has something to do with plugins updates, made some of the stories go bunk. So he said just open the story in the editor and click save/update.

    I tried that and then cleared cache but still white screen

    Submitted a ticket to bigscoots – they couldn’t figure it out. Bigscoots suggested changing to default theme – did that – no luck

    Have asked Bigscoots to set up test site

    @rbennett Just checking in here. Did you hear anything back from your hosting provider on this?

    I can see that the Web Story is still blank and getting the validation errors.

    Sorry we had been waiting on BigScoots and with the holidays. BigScoots and they said they’ve done everything they could and that I needed to take up with the support team for Web Stories

    She said she is still getting AMP errors in GSC. I went to GSC just now to see if she started the validation since getting rid of the white page.

    Will let you know if validation works. Before it wouldn’t let us but crossing fingers it works now.

    It may be a matter of waiting for a?re-index, but you could request to have the affected stories reindexed too. If the errors still show on your report after some time I suggest contacting the experts at Google Search Console Help.
