• Hi,

first, thank you for a very handy plugin. Here are some of my findings:

    1) It causes errors in validation for AMP pages/posts (any plugin) – you can see it here:

    https://validator.ampproject.org/#url=https%3A%2F%2Fstaging.bennu.cz%2Famp%2Fvladimir-kafka-nemoc-dluh-lasky-sobe-vlaznost-nas-pomalu-zabiji-1-cast-18065%2F

    2) I am unable to style the component via CSS since it uses injected styles on a div without a class, is there any reason why it is like this? Does not make sense except some push towards a premium version…

    3) it shows a related post at the end of the article even though there is a checked option for not showing…

I would gladly pay for a premium version if this was fixed + there would be ability to pick related posts also manually and see the suggestions in the backend. At best to pick for example 2 or more related inline posts per one “block”.

    Thank you.

    Best,

    Ladislav

    1. We are working on an AMP compatible version. By the way it should not compromize the site functionalities.
    2. You are right, classes are dinamically generated in the free version and static in the premium one.
    3. Can you send us an URL or/and some screenshot for a better understanding?

    Cheers

can’t wait for the update as we are anxious to get the pro version of this, especially if it’s compatible with PHP 7.2!

    Hi,

    thank you for your reply.

    1. Perfect. No, it does not compromise but Google Search Console errors may have an impact on rankings for AMP versions – it can be easily solved by injecting the inline CSS into an external file dynamically
    2. I understand although I think there is a lot of options of how to make money on more advanced functionality like I have described instead of inability to style it more precisely using custom CSS
    3. My intention is not to show related posts at the end of the content. When there is exactly a similar number of characters, it displays the related post in the end like here: https://staging.bennu.cz/adela-banasova-vianoce-bez-deti-17926/. I would love some detection e.g. there are no more paragraphs, do not display it at the end despite the settings. For example – if there is 350 words exactly, do not display unless there is at least 2 more paragraphs (or 50 words), or at least do not display at the end when it is a inline related post. I hope it makes some kind of sense.

Would be happy to do any beta testing.

    Best,

    Ladislav

The plugin already does what you expect it to do but it also checks when and how split the post content and put the related one inside.

Your case seems strange, try to set the ‘Interval between the boxes’ parameter to one just to see if there is some change.

Remember you can also open a ticket at support@intellywp.com where will be glad to help you!

It would be great that this AMP issue could be addressed in the next update. It is a great plugin.

    Hi Paulovsky,
    Thank you.

We are working to fix this issue with a next plugin update, unfortunately, I can’t say exactly when it will be available.

    Best regards

    Alex
